I am a seasoned User Experience designer with two decades of industry experience. I’ve held full-time positions at Citigroup, Hewlett-Packard, TiVo, Microsoft (XBOX), and SAP Concur. During my career, I designed consumer and business-facing websites, enterprise tools, 10-foot experiences, and mobile applications.

SAP Concur provides its customers with visibility into and control over business expenses. It helps business travelers adhere to company policy guidelines as they book their trips, simplifies expense reporting, and helps them stay safe.

As a Senior UX Designer at SAP Concur, I am responsible for continuous improvement of the Request and Travel Booking tools, and their integration into Concur ecosystem. My projects span both Web and Mobile platforms, and are unified by the drive to deliver great UX amidst complex business and technical challenges. I work as part of larger team of researchers, product owners, project managers, developers, and other designers to deliver effective solutions to our customers and business travelers alike.

As a member of an Emmy-winning team at XBOX, I focused on OneGuide (next-generation TV Guide) for phones and tablets, as well as a number of other exciting projects. My responsibilities as an Interaction Designer were similar across all projects. They included:

  • Working with User Research to understand the problem space and our customers

  • Defining goals and principles that serve as a foundation for all work that follows

  • Defining and developing scenarios and storyboards

  • Exploring and vetting architecture and interaction models

  • Iterating wireframes, flows, and prototypes

  • Collaborating with User Research to develop usability studies, and attending them

  • Communicating and documenting interaction and UI decisions

  • Working closely with PMs, developers, visual and motion designers to deliver a great product

TIVO

TiVo is the pioneer of DVR technology, and in today's world of multi-source, on-demand entertainment, TiVo delivers a single place to put it all together in a seamless, easy to use, delightful experience.

During my 4 years at TiVo, I contributed to TV, Web, and Mobile experiences that promoted cross-platform consistency and delightful ease of use. User Experience was at the core of TiVo's design culture, and it instantly felt like home.

  • Made design contributions to the TiVo DVR UI

  • Re-designed many primary tivo.com pages, with many iterations to the What is TiVo and the Products sections

  • Created the interaction and visual design for the TiVo iPhone App

  • Adapted the iPhone application to the Android platform, for Android phones and 7in tablets

  • Re-branded the iPhone app for the Virgin Media in UK

  • Integrated Facebook's Social TV functionality into TiVo iPhone/iPad applications

  • Re-designed the look and feel of tivo.com and created guidelines for future design

  • Collaborated with User Research team to develop and observe many usability tests

  • Worked closely with TiVo's Advertising & Research Team to create various report-generation and display interfaces

  • Designed the Setup Wizard for the TiVo Wireless Network Adapter (which is performing extremely well both in the usability lab and the real world)

  • Enhanced the UI and interaction design for various parts of the Project and Portfolio Management system (Asset Management, Financial Management, Resource Management, etc.)

  • Researched and presented Section 508 Compliance for the team

  • Designed all the brand-related assets and worked with printing companies to have them produced

  • Designed the new Order Management System (used by clients to create coupon offers for Coupons.com)
